"Two of the Bollywood's biggest stars in terms of raw stardom and fan following"

Dev Anand

He was in different league after hitting stardom with Baazi(1951).His films were known for his style, his dialogue delivery, his persona. He was extremely successful in 50s and 60s.
After 1970, he started directing films followed by fare amount of success and failure and Desh Pardes(1978) is considered his last hit.
During his stardom period (1951-1978), he acted in almost 70 films out of which 30+ films were successfull.
After that he didn't give up, he was still a lead actor in most of his films directed and produced by himself, which gave him the title Evergreen Star. But most of his films in this inning were disasters.

Rajesh Khanna

He is so similar to Dev Anand in Bollywood, he developed cult following after 1969-72 period of back to back 15 successful films. He was a true Superstar of his time but it didn't last long. After 1975, his decline and great Amitabh Bachhan's rise in Bollywood go hand in hand.Rajesh khanna was very ambitious, he was obsessed with Lead actor role in films just like Dev Anand but he differ from Dev Anand in one way that he couldnot direct himself and he didnt have his own big Production house unlike Dev Anand.
Rajesh Khanna was not offered character roles unlike Dilip Sahab in their 2nd innings, who was praised unanimously in every film he acted even as second fiddle which proved invincible great actor inside him. But Rajesh Khanna was forced to sign B grade films.
But there is one thing where they both excel and excel exceptionally well is 'Stardom'
